I loved Bill Clinton. That was the first time I realized the president was more than just a figurehead like the queen or the pope. He seemed like a president who was human, accessible and yet, continuously changing the way things were run and improving them. It helped that my first real job was with AmeriCorps-the domestic peace corps, a program he strongly supported and which has steered me toward the path I'm on right now. I really liked Hillary because she seemed to be his equal, in both intelligence and presence. Chelsea was someone in our age group so I figured he'd definitely make decisions that were positive for our generation, if only because of his daughter. That might be my second biggest fear. I am nervous that something will happen on Tuesday and he won't get elected, but I am almost equally nervous that some lunatic will try to hurt him or his family. I don't think I'd be surprised since he has evoked such strong emotions from people over the past few years, but it would be further proof that there's a high price to pay for being different and revolutionary.
